    Dear Edith,
    Hello,
I am Eddie Diva born in Nabunturan, Davao where your Dad 1st founded C. Alcantara and Sons, Inc. in 1954.
Alsons EDP-MIS Dept. was my 1st job engage- ment after graduating Chem. Engg. from the Univ of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City 1971. I have been a “systems man” since then : Aboitiz Group EDP-MIS, National Computer Center, King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital – G.A.M.A. in Riyadh, General Motors – Arabian Motors & Engg.Corp. in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, etc.
I now live in Vancouver, BC. Canada since June 2006.
My sincere and heartfelt Congratulations for heading C Alcantara and Sons, inc at present.
May God’s Holy Presence be with you all the Days of Your Life.

I am born and raised by a tpaicyl conservative Filipino family and have been thoroughly exposed by the Western culture too, considering my current residence in New York City. This issue considers a lot of factors that contradicts the nature of its convictions: Religion (Roman Catholicism), Biology (Human’s Sexual Nature), Culture evolution (Filipino culture is becoming more westernized by the day).Filipino people should have the freedom to choose their way of life, and to have a logical option available for them should a need for this particular issue arises. At the end of it all, the quality of their lives is their personal responsibility. But all the factors mentioned have to be considered and none of them should be nullified nor be trifled with.
